Remember that one rant from someone on youtube who was speaking through a speech impediment that was like oh I used to take special ed programs because of my learning deficiencies and had to deal with social problems associated with it? That that person and her friends saw themselves in Derpy and were happy to see that represented in the popular cartoon? That she was furious that others wanted the character removed because they deemed it offensive and wanted to “coddle” and “protect” her and others from things they didn’t care or even liked? IDk something about patronizing behaviour that people like her were supposed to be protected by “abled” people and how frustrating and hypocritical it was. IDK, it seems a bit wrong to “fix” the character if she is a bit, well, derpy, especially if the show was to teach FRIENDSHIP AND MAGIC or whatever. lol
